RevaSoft Ultra Light Client (ULC) for Java ULC is a patent pending technology developed at OTI/IBM in cooperation with the two major Swiss Banks (Credit Suisse & UBS) to enable thin, easily distributable, low bandwidth client applications.
The RevaSoft Ultra Light Client for Java is based on IBM's Ultra Light Client RevaSoft ULC for Java address the problem faced by most Java Client/Server application developers, namely the issue of "fat clients".
The principal idea is to run applications on a centrally controlled application server. Only the presentation part of an application is run on the client's desktop. The presentation part is implemented by a universal user interface engine (UI Engine). RevaSoft ULC for Java produces thin, easily distributable, low bandwidth client applications with rich user interfaces that can run on any machine that supports the Java VM.
In addition RevaSoft ULC for Java integrates with IBM's award winning VisualAge for Java environment enabling full visual application builder support.
